BATTLE WITH THE JOCKS

by James (jimjunior2001@yahoo.com)

Between Jill Johnson and three football players

The jocks were upset with our heroine. She had just given the starting running back on the team a failing grade for the first quarter and thus, he was ineligible for the state championship game coming up. As they saw her walking out of the movie theater a few evenings before, they decided to confront her again. “Again” because they had challenged her verbally after class, but now that they had a few drinks, and were far off campus, they felt like giving her a more physical challenge. These boys who were going to confront her were the big fellows on the offensive line who blocked for the star running back. Could girl power handle these boys who outweighed her by fifty pounds at least each?

Our heroine was walking to her car when all of a sudden she felt a big hand on her hair and pulling hard, and another hand on her shoulder. In our last episode, we had seen her pulling the hair of one of her assailants, but unlike him, she had both hands free so she could so something about it, and did she. With her right hand, she grasped the wrist of the hand on the hair, putting her thumb directly on the nerve center of the wrist. With her other hand, she grabbed the actual hand itself. The pain was now felt not in her hair, but by him. She simultaneously pulled the hand outward and over her right shoulder, and going down under her balance point, tossed him to the ground, where he landed head first. A second after he landed, he was greeted by the bottom of her shoe directly into his neck. He was out cold.

During this whole process, the other two boys had worked their way around so now our heroine could see them too. One of them swung with his right hand at her, but she parried his blow with her left arm, and moved her hand upward until the heel of it was under his chin and her fingers were in his eyes. At the same time, she was moving forward and grabbing him around the waist with her right hand, and putting her right leg behind his. The pressure from her hand on her chin, fingers in the eyes, and arm around the waist caused him to lose balance before his teammate had a chance to move in, and he, too, fell to the ground, where she delivered a kick to his face, as well.

A second after that finishing kick, she was grabbed from behind by the third football player. His arms were around her waist, hands joined in the middle in front of her. Jill, however, got hold, with her right hand, two of the fingers of his left hand, and then with her left hand, pushed upwards on his left elbow. As she lifted the jock’s left arm (made easier because of the grip on his fingers), she turned to her left and wound up facing him. She continued to push until his arms were now behind him, and he was no longer grasping her ab section, but merely had his arms locked behind his back. He fell backward to the ground, where our heroine delivered a kick behind his ear. This ear pain caused him to be on the ground for some time. Now there were three football players on the ground while our heroine stood tall and confident, brushing back her hair as she assessed the situation. The boy who she kicked in the neck and the one she kicked behind the ear were still out cold and could not get up. However, the one she got in the face was getting up, and was ready for another attack.

“Ms. Johnson, I don’t know how you do it, but you are going down!”

Jill said, “Bring it on, Henry.”

The boy rushed forward and before Jill had a chance to do anything, he had his hands around her neck. Our heroine was not afraid, however; she had the moves. She reached over his left arm with her right hand, and grasped that wrist with her left in between his two arms. She then bent to her right, by which she put pressure on his left arm with her right and his right arm with her left. Her arms were locked together, while his were not, so she obviously had the advantage. She put her left leg behind his right, and he once again met the ground. This time, however, she was sure to finish him off by stomping on his neck several times. With the three boys out, she ran to her car and called the police.

Jill crossed her arms, and said “Why guys? Is football worth that much? It cannot be your whole lives. You’ve gotta have more than that.”

Now not only was the star running back suspended, but so was the meat of his offensive line. Despite this, however, the team won. They were given a pep talk by our heroine of all people a day before the game. She told them that these few individuals did not represent the majority of the team, nor the school they played for. She also told them her actions did not represent anything she had against them, but rather, it was merely self-defense. The team understood, after an initial bout with disbelief that she had been able to dispatch those three guys single handedly.

Remembering the day when she defended herself in church, when the injured boys returned to school, she reached out to them, and even apologized for having to do what she did. They understood, though, and had heard about the pep talk she had given. They decided to make it up by working really hard for her, and in the second quarter, the one who had failed got a “C” and the three boys who attacked her all got “A’s.”
